Every step we normally take in managing translation projects takes a little bit longer when we're dealing with patents. The initial document review process is undertaken by two of our linguists one is a native of the source language and one of the target language to identify any potential problems or areas of concern.

A significant amount of time is then spent researching appropriate terminology for the technical terms employed, before the document is sent for translation.

After translation, editing and proofreading of the translated document both in isolation and against the original is done to ensure the translation is a perfect adaptation of the original document. All elements, including the design and layout are confirmed to ensure adherence to the client's original instructions.
